“Loveable” is a song about the journey to loving yourself and it is devastating in all the right ways.

The vocals make this song. The melody is strong, but it is the sentiment of the singer that really takes this song to the next level. The song tells the story of a man telling someone, perhaps his significant other, that they are loveable, which is as simplistic a statement as it is a beautiful one.

you harbor more love than you know
you deserve more than you’ve been told
you’ve got it all just love it more
you’re loveable you’re loveable

most flaws you see in yourself
were painted by somebody else
cause they got theirs
and they’ve got pain they need to share

I can see this song in films, I can see this song played at weddings, I would play this song in my car on repeat.

Who doesn’t want to be told they are lovable? Who doesn’t need that sometimes? So often such necessary sentiment is withheld, as this song breaks that need wide open. It speaks to the heart effectively and avoids cliche with ease.

I have never heard of the band, Homes. From their Facebook page, they are a new band from Slovakia, a small country in Eastern Europe. The fact that they are able to write such a wonderful song in what is presumably not their first language is impressive and speaks to their massive talent. “Loveable” has all the hallmarks of a hit. Here’s hoping Homes is able to make it big stateside.

I can’t say enough good things about this song. It is soft, it is sweet, and it communicates feelings that are universal. It is well worth a listen – trust me, you will not be sorry you did.

Remember; whoever told you-you couldn’t love yourself was wrong whoever told you-you couldn’t love whoever you want was wrong
